what do people think?

Not impressed with some of the conservative future ones, especially my successor (subject to beating RON) Matthew Haywood whose manifesto consists of a picture of the clock tower and about two lines of text, nor that of Joseph Brewer

No, it's bad enough they're conservative but having a whole bunch of non-sabbs who can't be bothered to put any policy on their manifesto is just plain wrong

dear radishes,

I'm coming back to potentially count votes, and then clap like a seal when people win....

I'd like to clap like a mildly informed seal: are the manifestos available anywhere other than facebook or redbrick?!?

many thanks!

Have you achieved anything from your manifesto?

How many exec really do? (It looks like Gary will get a sexual health clinic on campus so it does happen)

The main manifesto point about learning support provision has already largely been sorted by the uni by the time I took office, and I had meetings over the summer with the relevent people. It's very hard to campaign as noone wants to go to a Disabled Students' Association, it's been tried and failed many times. Still going to work on it, but I emailed every student registered with SSCS for either disability or learning support with full details and very few were interested. What needs to be worked on is why, whether it's not something people want to associate with (quite likely), something that people don't feel will achieve anything (which could be worked on, but difficult if noone goes to achieve anything in the first place) or whatever reason people don't want to go.

Yeah hasn't happened yet but it could be achieved, no guarantee. The fact is that manifesto promises are rarely achieved but it's good to at least have aims when you go in and achieve at least some or to some extent
