I need to back up why Dave and Los are the top 2 bodyboarders in FLA:....No one should put someone up on a pedastal without fully backin it up....so here are clips of Dave that prove his prowess as the best damn stand up bodyboarder in FLA....and if you have ever seen him at Wabasso or in Melbourne or Inlet when its double overhead......then you know he has does things no one else WILL ever do in FLA....period. And these pics of Los prove that he boosts harder then any other in this state.....if you got some proof of one of your bros representing.....now's the time to represent...other wise talkin dont prove a thing.
Keep in mind...if you go to bodyboarder.com....Carlos's pics are being TAKEN (stolen) by others to use as there profile pic....that proves these are some of the fattest pics ever snapped of a Florida Bodyboarder.....why the FUK aren't the mags pikkin up these pics? Cuz the mags hate FLA!

Dave: these clips are about 2-4 yrs old...but even so the mother f**k is still the best waterman on the east coast....can u paddles out in triple overhead surf with no fins? Can you stand up on a bodyboarder on a triple overhead wave? can anyone....? and as an FYI....he's riding an old 38 inch board in these clips....and dave is 6 foot 1 tall....do the math

Listen man, i'm not gonna lie that he's not a great stand up rider, but to put HIM on a pedestal next to the other top bodyboarders of florida is wrong. He has a different style... Also,

When does florida really get double overhead? Hurricane Wilma was the last time it was actually even rideable and that's even pushing double overhead. I'll agree he's a great stand up rider, but he's in the wrong category, not most people do stand up bodyboard. DK is another story.. The best bodyboarders i've seen down here(vero/wabasso/inlet) would either be david culpepper, or this guy i just met last weekend i think his name is nicalee? He owns boogerusa.com. Been bodyboarding for 16 years and his DK is off the charts, backside snaps like you've never seen and his frontside is insane too.

Obviously U were not in Melbourne before Jeane hit 2004...RC's, Monster Hole....
When it does get that big (3 times a year if that) there is no one out., (i should have qualified that with double overhead in PR or Costa)...except guys like dave...and Ill stand by till fukkin death to say that Dave is the best fukking all around bodyboarder there is....he prones better then 98% of the other spongers Ive seen in this state...and he fukking kills it stand up...granted, he does not DK but IM looking at the whole picture...someone who charges harder then anyone else, someone with the most skill in ANY size surf....from double overhead Puerto Rico, to 3 foot FLA....I have footage of some of the best riders in this state in the past 10 years....and above all DAVE fukkin knows how to ride a wave better then anyone else
DK, Prone, StandUp its all the f**k same....its about HOW U USE the wave, when to turn, when to transition, when to hit the section, how you hold a line.....how u use the bodyboard on a wave.
And if you want to prop up this guy or that then post some pics or footage to prove it...otherwise ur claims dont mean shit to me...
If you want to try to fuk with me and talk shit about what I think....then we got a fukking problem...you can say that guy X Y or X Z is good and thats cool...but if you want to say that Im wrong...well then u can fuk off....everytime I go out there is normally only about 1% spongers I see that are ripping worth a shit...in terms of style, power and SKILL
You can claim who you want is at the top....go ahead...I am not goin to shoot it down....so dont do the same to me.... |

You ask for SbLocal to prove that the guys he knows rip. And if he has no pics I guess he can't prove it. I've seen alot of good spongers over the the last 12 years and never took a picture of one of them. I'd rather be riding waves than standing on the beach watching. I'm in this for fun and really could care less who is so great. You say he rips triple overhead. I'm sure he does but where are the pics? I see him mostly riding chest high mush with the vids you shown. I mean not to punk you but if you are asking for proof of other rippers out there I wanna see some triple overhead ANYTHING from these guys. Specially if it's in FLA.
All I'm saying is most of us have seen plenty of rippers out there. We just don't have anyway of proving it because we are no busy riding too. Somtimes I don't even get to meet these guys so I couldn't even tell you there names anyway.
Thanks for posting those pics and vids they're great.
Also I would love to buy one or two of those BBing vids you have and also the one coming out later in the year to see some of the best our area has to offer.
I maybe getting a hold of a new camcorder soon so when we get some quality waves over here maybe I can get my wife to film some gulf action of me and my friend. If its good I'll send you some footage. Jon

True! I know I said I really don't care about who is so great out there in FLA. When I look back though I wish I did get some footage of myself or other guys that just rip. Just to see the progression of it all. But when I get to a break I just want get out there and rip it up. I want to get some good footage though, hopefully either on this coast or the east. If it looks good I'll try to get it to you to maybe add to your upcoming 06' vid.
