Clan Policy

[[HSP]Wangtang]

This Policy contains information about accepted clan activities, codes of conduct, and various procedures, including the joining procedure. This is always subjected to changes and reforms. As a member of the clan, you are required to read and follow these rules and procedures. These are the official rules and regulations.

General Rules and Regulations
All the general rules about being a part of the clan.

Article 1: Participation
Section 1: Forum Participation
If you regularly participate in game activities, but fail to participate in forum activities, you will receive a notice. While forum activity is not a requirement, we do request you to stay up-to-date with clan events via use of the forum, therefore, you must visit the forum every week. If you are unable to do this, you must send me an email about your reasoning for non-participation in the forum.

Section 2: Server Participation
Server participation is a requirement. You must participate regularly on our UT2004 Server to remain in the clan. We ask your to at least visit twice a week and play a full match. Failure to do so will result in a notice of inactivity being sent to you. You will again, have 1 week to respond, unless otherwise specified.

Section 3: Inactivity
Those who do not participate regularly will receive a warning, and unless that person can tell me why they have not been around within 1 week of receiving that notice they will be kicked out of the clan, unless otherwise specified by me.

Section 4: Leave of Absense Notification
Those who know they will be unable to participate for an extended period of time must notify me about the cause, and possible duration of inactivity. Failure to do so will result in the assumtion that you are nolonger participating in this clan, and as stated above in Section 1, you will receive a notice, and after 1 week's time of non-reply you will be kicked out.

Article 2: Behavior
Section 1: Standards of Behavior.
As a member of this clan, we expect you to be mature and practice acceptable behavior both on our server, and at other servers, as well as in this forum.
Acceptable behavior includes:
-No excessive swearing
-No racial slurs
-No sexual slurs
-No chat spamming
-No insulting
-Show Respect and maturity to other players
-Dont carry on senseless arguments.
-No arrogant remarks
(This means dont say "BOOM!" or "Owned" after you kill someone)

Section 2: Failure to follow Rules.
Failure to follow these rules a number of times will result in a warning on either the Forum or Server at which behavior has been determined to be a problem. Continuation to not follow rules will result in a notice emailed to you, and they will be unable to participate in special events for a week.
If however, that person continues to do this even after the warnings, they will be kicked out of the clan.

Article 3: Hacking/Cheating
Section 1: Consequence
Anyone found hacking will be asked only once to remove any hack/cheat from their game. Failure to comply will result in a ban from the server and clan. Hacking/Cheaitng is a serious offense and wil not be tolerated in this clan.

Article 4: Returning to the clan
Section 1: Policy
Anyone kicked out of the clan is eligible to return to clan service, providing they are forgivien for the offense they commited to get them kicked out to start with. Upon re-entry, they will be required to fully participate in all events for 2 weeks, unless otherwise specified.

Section 2: Repeate Offenders
those who are kicked out, rejoin, and are kicked out again will not be eligible for a 3rd return to clan service, unless otherwise specified.

Article 5: Definitions
Section 1: Spaming of chat
Spaming of chat can be defined as the repetition of a single word, phrase or sentence over a short period of time. This includes text chat and voice chat.

Section 2: Hacking/Cheating
Hacking/Cheating is anything that enhances the players abilities through a non-standard game file, or exploiting glitches in maps.

Joining The Clan.
The official procedures and rules for those wishing to join Clan HSP.

Article 1: Joining
Section 1: Requirements.
The requirements of joining this clan are as follows:
-Must be an active player.
-Must be at least 13 years of age.
-Must be a frequent visiter of the server (At least 5 times a week)
-Must be willing to participate in the Forum.
-Must have Xfire
-Must be a mature player
-Must be experienced
-Does not hack or cheat
-Must be accepted by both the admins and members. (majority rule)

Section 2: How to join.
Joining is simple. The person wishing to join is to contact an official of the clan, that being either Demo_Man, Wangtang, or Merrell, on either the server or Xfire. They are to present to them their wish to join, age, and overall skills in the game. After of wich, they will be assessed over a period of time (a week or so) for desireable and undesirable characteristics of that person.

Section 3: The "Test"
All new members as of 1/1/08 are required to take a test to measure their skills. Currently, the test involves a single round of Sniper, using the regulation "X-82A2" Sniper. The single round will take place on a DM map of choice. There are several variables to the test however. The score of which the possible member needs to attain depends on the number of players. All tests take place with the posible joiner and the evaluator (your HSP official).

*- Liable to change depending on skill level of other players. In most cases, t would be changed to at least 1/2 of top players, or having a score close to the evaluator (at least 2/3)

If you fail: Those who fail once will be given a second chance, unless otherwised specified. If you fail a second time, you must wait 1 week before reaplying to join.

Section 3: Acceptance.
Apon acceptance into the clan, you are required to do 3 things.
1: Join, and have an account on our Forum.
2: Add yourself to Wangtang's Xfire and join the HSP Xfire clan.
3: Wear your tags!
The new member is able to wear the [HSP] tag when accepted.

Multi-Claning
A short rule on Multi-Claners.

In general, we try to be a flexible clan, but we would want to have loyal dedicated members. We want members to be in 1 clan, and 1 clan only. If you have previous engagements to another clan, you mest cut ties with that clan. However, if you belong to another clan, and feel the need to still be in that, you must talk to Wangtang about this. In most cases we will accept this, as long as that clan is in good standing's with HSP. However, we still strongly urge you to be in 1 clan, to avoid confusions and possible conflicts.

Final Note:
It is my mission to create a clan of respectable, skilled players, and to build up a respectable reputation in the Unreal Universe. We do this by modding, mapping, our server, playing the game, and how we act. I am a tolerant, respecting, knowledgable person, and I expect my members to be the same. I want to set a high standard for this clan. But to do this we all need to work together and follow the rules.
