What's up with people lately? Some things I just really don't get sometimes...
World of Warcraft (WoW):
Upfront Cost - $50 (most likely less now)
Monthly Cost - $30/2 months
Guild Wars:
Upfront Cost - $50 (less by now)
Monthly Cost - None
People, if World of Warcraft is so great, then waste your cash! Guild Wars is a great MMORPG (from what ive seen + heard) and doesn't need you to burn cash every 2 months.
What do you people think?

MMORPG stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. Since MMORPG's are played online (duh!), the cost of the game really matters. Take this into effect:
After 1 year:
WoW: $230
GW: $50
After 2 years:
Wow: $410
GW: $50
In order to get the rights to play WoW for 1 year, you have to pay $230!!! Guild Wars, all the way!!!  |

Well, I play WoW and Guild Wars and I think that they are both matched, Guild Wars has addicting and forgiving gameplay.
WoW has a huge world with literally thousands of quests and pvp between the two factions you can play as.
While WoW can offer much more playing time, whos to say you will enjoy it more? I personaly get bored at games when I play them too much so I switch between them.
Although WoW's monthly fee really weighs you down it's still worth it.
btw, the monthy fee is *$15.
This was not just copied and pasted, I wrote it...yay me!
So you decide...a game that you pay 15 a month for that will have you drawn in or a game with no fee that you won't be playing quite as much. |
