I support higher taxes as long as the money is put to good use and they're progressively applied, so that the higher end of people's earnings are taxed higher, but I'd put higher tiers on top of that

Indeed, we need higher income tax and lower NI and purchasing taxes.

The NI increases the government brought in place the tax burden on the poor, rather than the rich.
