Ok, remember those WW2 games and movies, where you got the allies fighting, and all of a sudden you hear the screaming of a diving plane, and the soldiers would look in terror and yell "STUKA!!!". Then the plane swoops in, drops a bomb and fires off a few rounds at the ground troops and causes destruction and chaos?
Now think about this, only in space, where now the Stuka has twicw the amount of guns, and a jet engine.
This is something i made, my love for WW2 tech and german war machines. This is a modified JU-87, converted for spaceflight. I've done away with the prop engine in favor of a single jet engine mounted on the underbelly of the plane. I've also taken off the traditional landing gear and replaced them with skids. Overall, this is a pretty looking aerocraft.

A very creative conversion!
Tho for space & a jet engine, I would think the wings would have a more swept design look to them no?
Is it going to be coded for bot use too?
Just a thought!

Swpt wings would make no difference, in space, there is no air, so there is no air resistence. You could have the most un-aerodynamic thing in space, and it would fly just fine.
Besides, theres also the part where the ship goes into the atmosphere.
This was really just something for fun, and wasnt planned to go on ut or anything. UT seems to lack a good plane code...

I guess i was thinking more of the overall look because of the jet engine and how fast it could go but, ya space is a trip.
So, I guess the skids are for landing on anything huh? I would think that directional jets for vertical landing/takeoffs would be cool too!
