The Dodgers said doctors inserted a stent to repair a blocked artery in Lasorda's heart. According to the Dodgers' website, the 84-year-old Lasorda is resting comfortably and could be released from the hospital as early as Wednesday.
He was voted into the Hall of Fame in 1997 by the Veterans Committee.

Lasorda was in New York to represent the Dodgers at the MLB Draft. After attending the first round of the event Monday evening in New Jersey, Lasorda was a no-show during the second day of the event Tuesday.
