Dave came round in hospital to find out he had been amputated below the leg. He lamented his pitiful situation uncontrollably. John tried to comfort him, saying, "Don't worry Dave, you'll still be able to work."
Dave asked bitterly, "No I won't, who wants a one-legged golddigger?"
But his mate had a cheering reply: "Paul McCartney" |

What are you talking about? Do you actually know what you're talking about? Have you read the details of the case? The judge was a man as well so you can't imply this is some sort of feminist conspiracy. And whatever the truth, there's no way you can know whether Heather Mills is a 'goldigger' or not. |
Does it matter who the judge was. I wasn't saying it was the judge's 'fault' merely that divorce laws seem (and I say seem because I do not know law) to favour women. I am sure that many people agree.
And of course I don't KNOW that Heather McCartney is a golddigger but no-one knows anything about celebrities apart from second hand reports so surely we can't ever comment on any celebs. And again I am sure that many people believe she is, whether or not that is true. |

hahahaha
Ziggy would it not be better to find out what the law says in these circumstances? Invariably the news will shows the unfair cases, if 99% of the time the law was fair we would not hear of it. |

I did an exam specifically on Divorce law yesterday and I feel that without meaning to sound unecessarily harsh, that to say its sided towards women is totally unwarranted. In fact if I went into detail the law is NOT equal at all. In most cases its is biased towards men and women seem to get a sore deal. Grr I hate it when people proclaim the facts and don't have a clue.
For example... when divorce proceedings commence the law is trying to get an equal balance into what a person puts into a relationship as to what they get back. For instance where a woman may not contribute towards the financial aspects they still gain equitable and legal rights in regards of property and financial aspects. This also occurs in a large proportion of cases relating to men. Whilst, it may seem "unfair" that large amounts of money is spent through divorce proceedings many people actually have post nuptual (i cant's spell) agreements and disputes are vvery rare.
I cant go into as much detail as I would like I have to study .... unlike some it seems. But if you want to talk after wednesday about it more than welcome. I havent had a good debate in a while.

| when someone asked why there was a women's officer but not a men's officer (a bit different to an association but related). She just said 'because no men have tried to create one, she doesn't care if there is one or not as she's a woman so she's interested in the women's officer position'. Something along those lines but sounded very impressive when she said it |

U know just because she said it doesnt mean that a mens association has to be set up right?
if you really feel the need to then go ahead ..... its perfectly possible with enough momentum behind it rather than constantly goin over the same points and doing nothing and effectively getting nowhere. |
