Behind the scenes.
The game is one of the first 3D RTS games.
It was released by Acclaim (wich went bankrupt and now is back, but with online games T.T) and Charybdis.
Both kinda died, and the rights for Machines got lost.
They didn't really do any advertising, and there were many other games being released at that moment. So nobody saw the game, and it got lost in the vortex of nothingness.
Luckily, i picked up a copy somewhere, and still have it.
Graphics: Not the best, but pretty good for it's age.
AI: Not too good. Seriously, not too good.
Units: Many. Atleast 50. All with their own specialties.
Story: Well-thought-through, and the campaign really complies.
Multiplayer: Bad. LAN only. (Hamachi works ^^)
Special features: You can jump into a machine and use it from 1st person mode! This aslo allows you to hax the game a bit sometime...
i'd say 7/10.
It's a must-play I say.
If you can't decide on if you really want it (it's free) go here:
It´s not done yet, but me and another guy are working on it. ^^
