Discovery Mod is cool. Instead of completly redoing everything, as in NSU, this mod adds onto the original game, and expands the Sirius Sector.
This is a highly popular mod, with an average of 100+ players on all the time on the oficial server.
Unlike the other mods, the server is an RP, meaning everyone role plays.
You start as civilian, and can work your way to something such as a trader, police for a specific system, such as LSF (liberty) or KSF (kusari) or become a Pirate and pirate other players.
For the most part, you pick a role u want to play and play it as such. Its important to read up on each faction and laws of certain systems, as some house factions hate another house.
Discovery also adds in many many new ships, such as Colonial vipers, the Firefly, various cruisers and battleship and much more.
