Star Wars: Republic Commando
Summary:
From its first public announcment to its release in 2005, Star Wars: Republic Commando was recieved with high expectations. It runs off of the UNREAL Engine 2.0 but is nothing like UT2004. Game developers spent time at military boot camps to learn how commandos opperate so that they could give the same feel ingame. Which they did perfectly. Evironmental graphics and animations were well developed and its game play fast and fun. You start off as the captian of Delta Squad on Geonosis and must locate your squad. Gameplay quickly developes as you pick up the tricks of the trade. You gather new weapons and weapons' attachments while you fight yourway through intelligent AI. The end leaves you with a cliff-hanger as one of you squad mates are captured and you return to locate him. Online play is exceptional, although it does bite when you stuck with noobs. Online play includes CTF, DM, and TDM. That may not be a good selection but its levels make up for it.
Opinion:
I loved this game and everything about it partly because I'm a SW fan. I am eagerly anticipation the release of the sequal but still have no clue how far in the future it will come.
Rating:
I give Star Wars: Republic Commando a 9 out of 10.

LOL! i remember this game, tis a fun game! the only problem is that your computer, which is crappy btw, likes to take the light and makes them come out as crap-looking tubes, lol!
when i mean crap, i litteraly mean crap, like the stuff in your toilets...

SO this game left us with a MASSIVE cliff-hanger promising to return... But wait! It's been 2 years. Sure hope it's not another Starcraft.
This game ends with one of the heroes being captured by the enemy on the Wookie planet. You're sarge then swears to return to save him.

There is a demo to the game, and what i dont understand is that when i first got it, my comp couldnt handle it, but about half a year ago, i tried again and it could, really nicely too

Must have installed something else that updated some critical drivers that game uses? :>
So, no current data on the progress of the next version?
Geez! There's so many different versions of SW games it's hard to search for just one! :P
