Drew Brees Jersey threw for 240 yards and two touchdowns as the New Orleans Saints claimed a 36-21 pre-season victory over the San Diego Chargers in the Superdome.
Brees, who led the Saints to Super Bowl glory last season, found Devery Henderson and Robert Meachem for first-half touchdowns before making way for his back-up Patrick Ramsey.
The Chargers, bidding for a fifth straight AFC West title this season,NBA Jerseys, twice led thanks to touchdowns from Jacob Hester and Malcolm Floyd but each time the Saints soon responded in kind.
New Orleans kicker Garrett Hartley landed the first of his three field goals just before half-time to put the home side in front for the first time - a lead they never surrendered.
Undrafted rookie Chris Ivory put the Saints in control with a weaving 76-yard run all the way to end zone after taking a short slant pass from Ramsey and the win was sealed with an 87-yard interception return from Leigh Torrence.
The one moment of concern for Saints head coach Sean Payton came in the third quarter when linebacker Jonathan Vilma injured his right groin.
Vilma, who was trying to put pressure on Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers at the time, was examined by trainers before jogging to the locker room.
