there is no such thing as a simple concept especially in videogames
but i have seen that games that do have simple concepts tend to be the games that rock the most.
allow me to introduce a game that is so kick ass that it overrides the FOUR other games it comes with and its only a fraction of their gameplay time
PORTAL!
the simplest concept of a game i have ever heard of.
you shoot a hole in the wall then you shoot another hole in another wall you jump thorough one hole and out of the other.
this makes for KICK ASS game play and tons of possibilities and inpossablities.
now we all know about portal from the portal gun mod i found for UT2004 but it is nothing compared to the real thing.
the pure awesome-ness of the game comes from 3 central cores

The portal gun
The Weighted Companion Cube

GLaDOS is the computer that helps you :roll:
The portal gun is the most kick ass thing in the game giving you thousands of possibility's and puzzles (along with mind shattering thoughts on gravity spacetime and humor)
then theres WCC the best hunk of metal and most fan-followed Thing to ever exist.

Anyways, I downloaded a portal rip a while ago and yeah, it's a pretty great game. I DID find it boring on some levels but the physics and such were amazing.
