LORT: The Battle For Middle Earth

Summary:
An EA RTS Game release on December 6, of 2004 following up the previous release of the Lord Of the Rings movies. The Game follows the movies going from Helms Deep to the white walls of Minis Tirith. It has all the great LORT characters you have come to love. The factions of this game are Gondor, Rohan, Isengard, and Mordor. Being an RTS, you start with a pre-set caslte plot (not as bad as you think), which in online game play greatly reduces the chances of the enemy rushing, you are also givin 1-2 battlaions of troops and 1000 gold. Game-play is becomes increasenly harder the longer a battle continues. It hosts its own unique form of gameplay and is a welcome relief to the mountain of AOE style games. This game contains Campaign as well as Skirmish. However, its key feature is its online play. Your battles are recorded and your win/loss record is held for ladders. Wins and loses gain you points towards the faction you play with which gives you rank, from 1(peasant)-10(king).

Opinion:
I thought this game was extreemly addictive and you have to play it to understand why. Since the Release of the sequal, BFME has become very cheap and can be purchased from major stores.

I give Lord of the Rings: The Battle For Middle Earth an 8 out of 10.
