Really just hangin around the pad, while my buddy's in Chicago for a few weeks, visiting old friends and takin some vids of a vocal group he associates with.
1.) I've been busy DL'ing a ton of new 3D apps and game engines so I can continue my pseudo 3D education into the virtual world of online entertainment.
2.) Been working on a mod to use custom mesh lists for the con gun, so players can build with the custom meshes in each map along with the basic set of meshes - just in case they don't like the custom ones.
3.) I have an idea for a series of 'mini me' puzzle maps, where you are building giant puzzles - using the con gun and custom puzzle pieces(from an 8x8 matrix of 64 pieces) to (16x16 for 256 pieces for version 2) texture mapped with whatever pictures you put into a 'PuzzleTex' package for the maps.
So what have you guys been up to lately? _________________ http://www.gamefront.com/files/user/likemikes/

Busy.
Mon- Classes 9-12(Matrices then Calculus) , Lunch/possible nap, class 2-3(physics), relax, dinner, study, class 7-8:15(art history), library to study more (mainly calc)
Tue- Class 9-10:30(calc), lunch, class 2:40-4 (comp sci), dinner, relax, library 8-11
We- See Mon
Thu- Relaxing day. One class 2:40-4 (comp sci). Take advantage of the day to go to the library and catch up on everything.
Fri- Class 9-12, lunch/nap, class 2-3, done for the day! quickly recap my notes from the entire week, write down what I need to work on.
Sat- Drive an hour home to work 11-8, study, relax, family, girlfriend, etc. Drive back to college and chill with the roommates.
Sun- SLEEP IN! Watch a movie or two with the roomies (we have free on-demand), do some homework at night.
I'm in Calc 2 this semester. I have 4 hours of class and take 12 hours to study and practice the problems per week. I mainly meet up with 3-4 people and meet in the library in a study room. This takes up most of my time. |

Or whatever other scientific engineering career you have in mind, I can just imagine the kind of art you could think up with all that calc floating around in your head! :)
I recently DL'd another fractal app called 'Fractalus', simple awesome! - and the equations aren't really that involved of course because fractals use recursion. When I learn a bit more about UnrealScript, I'll be putting some of those calc's to good use rendering them to textures! :D
Maybe even trying some 3D fractals with a set of 256 meshes (16 colors with 16 shades) and convert the coordinates to correspond to the congun server brick list INI entries! O.O
Yet another project on a back burner. :O

I really don't do much. | Thats pretty much my schedule too. | I'd say both you guys would have a pretty good chance at being game testers, but there is catch - after your done testing you'd have to write a well thought out review that gamers & lamers alike could understand.

| [HSP]Wangtang wrote: | | Tuesday: 930-12: Form and Color (3 hour art class is sweet) | I did Art History as a prerequisite to the regular art studies courses before I even started getting interested in engineering, but I was always drawing stuff - so it helped a lot in the beginning with the planning stages of my drafting projects.
I always had trouble with my perspective and depth perception when sketching out new stuff though so the engineering basic sketching techniques helped a lot - but working in a 3D app there's still a bit of warping going on when I look on the screen at the perspective pane(but 3D engines are getting a lot better at perspective correction), and the orthogonal views are still straight so I don't have to worry about crooked or warped models anymore! :P
It's good to here that you guy's are getting into the groove of things.
It's kind of a shame thought, that a lot of people don't even try to do college - and are satisfied with flipping burgers somewhere! ;/
Heh! before college I was taking adult night classes for Diesel Mechanics since my High School didn't have any.
And later I ended up taking Aeronautics & Drafting at another adult school instead of Auto Mechanics because the regular classes were full that year. _________________ http://www.gamefront.com/files/user/likemikes/
